When you walk in to Tavern 109 you are greeted with a beautiful rustic interior. The staff was very accommodating and nice to my large crowd of people. They got us a table right away and we were immediately treated with waters.
The staff was very prompt to tell us what they thought were good choices to eat. I do not eat meat and they had a gluten free and vegetarian menu. We ordered a lot of food. Some being pear pizza, Mac and cheese, salads, and chicken and waffles. The only thing wrong with it was the wait. We waited for over 45 minutes to be served our food.
Let's talk about the menu. Lots of options that everyone will find something to eat. As I was reading the menu it had a very artistic approach on the description. Things like “a woodsy aroma” or “a crafty blend of cheese” but it did actually say the ingredients used. This could be fun and a surprise element. But personally this had me worried as I can only have certain types of cheese and I don’t eat a lot of meat. The pear pizza had bacon on it. The COBB salad that we ordered had strawberries on it. Two things that were not said on the menu.
I recommend the chicken and waffles, or the pear pizza. The water had a hint of citrus to it which was very refreshing.
The staff was very accommodating. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming.
Tavern 190 was a very pleasant time.
The prices, for a pleasant meal you are looking at anywhere from 10-50 dollars. With the additional 5-15 dollars for any of your mixed beverages. For me this is a little pricey but no doubt worth the money that was spent.
