Everyday I walk in and sit
In the same corner table
the harsh lighting
blinding my eyes
and glaring off the screen
I am tired
and you still.
Most days, you are my support
for my lifeless body to lean on.
I look right passed you
not saying a word.
There is no need to have conversation,
or to exchange smiles.
You have been there for me everyday
and even the days I am not here you sit.
But some days I will notice how you wobble.
As the weight of me is just to much to bare.
Your table will shake back and forth.
Then I will sit up.
My back against the walls
and think
about the next story that I will write on this table.
In the same corner table
the harsh lighting
blinding my eyes
and glaring off the screen
I am tired
and you still.
Most days, you are my support
for my lifeless body to lean on.
I look right passed you
not saying a word.
There is no need to have conversation,
or to exchange smiles.
You have been there for me everyday
and even the days I am not here you sit.
But some days I will notice how you wobble.
As the weight of me is just to much to bare.
Your table will shake back and forth.
Then I will sit up.
My back against the walls
and think
about the next story that I will write on this table.
